While some parents prefer to provide meals for their children - meals can be provided for them.
Please keep us up-to-date with dietary requirements, allergies, etc.
We will encourage healthy eating habits, taking into consideration the '5-a-day' guidelines.
We limit processed foods and foods/drinks with high fat, sugar and/or salt content. We are also aware that foods/drinks contain additives that can cause health problems for young children, so we limit those as much as possible.
Sometimes children may try to skip dinner and go straight to pudding.... We encourage them to eat healthy meals and will ask them to eat their dinner/sandwiches first. If that is unsuccessful they will be offered a healthy dessert choice i.e. yoghurt and fruit (NOT biscuits, cake, jelly &/or ice-cream) We do not give chocolates or sweets as part of a meal - unless it is a special occasion.
Children are encouraged to 'try' foods they are not familiar with, before it is taken away.
PLEASE KEEP US UP TO DATE WITH DIETARY REQUIREMENTS, ALLERGIES AND INTOLERANCES.
Light refreshments are provided during the course of the day, free of charge.
Fresh, dried or canned fruit;
Rice cakes; bread sticks, crackers, with cheese or ham
It is not necessary to provide your child with a drink, but if you do - this will be given to them at snack/meal times when they are seated at a table. This prevents soft furnishings, toys and floors getting sticky from spillages, dribbling etc.

IF YOU ARE PROVIDING YOUR CHILDS MEALS -
PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING.....
- Children tend to ignore or refuse the healthy food available, if they know you have put 'yummies' in for them.
- It may cause jealousy amongst other children who will feel it is unfair that one child is allowed them, whilst they are not.
- It is simpler to have a no sweets rule - unless prior arrangement made for a special occasion, when everyone will share (and after they have eaten their meal)
- please dont be offended, if these treats are left in lunchboxes for your child to eat when they are with you instead.
- SORRY -
Thank you for understanding
